HOLIDAY, HISTORY, AND BIRDS TOO
December 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Contact Lin Fagan (339-2054 or firstname.lastname@example.org) to confirm your participation and for info and directions. Meet Lin at the Hurley Town Hall, Wamsley Place, Hurley, NY 12443 (near intersection by Hurley Mountain Inn, Hurley Post Office, and Stewart’s Shop) for a 9:00 a.m. start time. The party will carpool to a stretch of the Hurley rail trail or two dependant on conditions to scout out birdy locations for the following week’s Christmas Bird Count. After a few hours in the field participants will return to meeting place with lunch at the Hurley Mountain Inn as an option.
The field trips of JBNHS are oriented to nature study. They are free and open to the public. We do, however, sometimes visit sites that charge admission fees, which are the responsibility of the participants. Children are very welcome on field trips, but pets are not. Although there is a brief courtesy waiting period for latecomers, the meeting times are important: please arrive in time to sign up with the leader.
