SUMMARY:OUTDOORS CREATIVITY/PLEIN AIR ART
DESCRIPTION:This is a unique stop on the JBNHS field trip schedule\, suitable for the whole family to enjoy together and not to be missed. A location chock full of inspiration based on seasonal occurrence or nature’s sheer beauty will be decided closer to the outing. All forms of creativity and expression are encouraged by participants. This is your chance to meet up other JBNHSers who marvel in the natural world\, at a natural pace\, and without the trappings (or worries) of a long checklist to measure a “successful” day in the field. \nPlease contact Laurie Berrios (laurieberrios@gmail.com ) to learn more about this new form of comradery for JBNHSers to\nenjoy.

SUMMARY:WADERS AND ICE CREAM
DESCRIPTION:FRIDAY\, AUGUST 21\, 6:00 P.M.\nAugust may be hot and humid\, but “fall” migration is underway and the Esopus Meadows can often harbor large concentrations of waders like Great Egrets and if water chestnut harvesting provides landing pads\, shorebirds not always easy to locate in county too. After a tough evening of scanning the river for peeps and waders we recommend you try to recuperate over a soft serve cone post outing at one of the local ice cream establishments. Contact Wendy Tocci (wtocci@gmail.com ) to register. Scenic Hudson’s Esopus Meadows Preserve is located at 269 River Road in the Town of Esopus.
