SUMMARY:JBNHS MARCH MEETING
DESCRIPTION:At the Hudson River Maritime Museum Riverport Boat School meeting room. Meet and mingle with new and old JBNHS friends and enjoy the program: a showing of the award-winning documentary\, “The Messenger\,” by Su Rynard. The 90 minute film\, premiered in 2015\, has been described as a “visually thrilling” presentation of the songbirds of America\, the environmental dangers that threaten them\, and what can be done to save them. The title of the film comes from the beliefs of indigenous people that songbirds were the messengers of the gods. Now\, in our time\, the plight of the songbirds is a message we must not ignore. There will be refreshments and a brief business meeting.  OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
