JBNHS ANNUAL PICNIC at KINGSTON’S HASBROUCK PARK

September 28 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

JBNHS ANNUAL PICNIC: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th at KINGSTON’S HASBROUCK PARK
This will be an extra special get together to celebrate our 75th anniversary. Of course, we will have our famous raffle and delicious food from Stone Soup again and we’ll get to meet some reptiles and maybe a crocodilian too! Brian Parkhurst (Hudson Valley Reptile Rescue) and Mark Perpetua (Mark Perpetua’s Reptile Encounters) will present. This will be fun for children of all ages, so make sure to bring along children and grandkids too.
This will also be the day to pick up your commemorative garments AND the day we pick the winner of the Zeiss Terra ED 8×42 binoculars.
Don’t forget to bring items for the raffle or a divided perennial or two for swap or sale.

PICNIC SCHEDULE
➢ 11:30 – arrive, buy raffle tickets, and mingle
➢ Noon – food is delivered, enjoy and more mingling
➢ 12:45 – Brian and Mark will present
➢ 1:30 – Raffles called and pick up garment orders

Lunch cost is $20.00 per person (children 12 and under are FREE)

All participants should be aware of existing guidelines and new field trip protocol listed below:
Participant responsibility agreement while attending a JBNHS field trip: By registering, each participant acknowledges their acceptance of the Individual’s Responsibilities.

Individual’s Responsibilities are:

  1. To stay with the group, follow trip leader’s requests, and do not separate unless you notify trip leader
  2. To understand that out-of-doors activities involve hazards and that one participates at one’s own risk
  3. To wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the terrain, and for sun and insect challenges as well
  4. To adhere to the ABA Birding Code of Ethics, respect and preserve the flora, fauna, and properties we visit
  5. To be mindful and courteous to other participants

Additionally:

  1. Optics may be shared if those involved are comfortable with doing so
  2. Carpooling is at the discretion of participants.
  3. Preregistration is required for all field trips and participation may be limited.
